A PLACE TO BELONG

The Church at the Butte is A Place to Belong. Whether you are a community leader, business owner, retired senior, single adult, or a young family you can find A Place to Belong with us.

Together, we are making a difference in our community through The Shepherd’s Closet, Meals on Wheels, All-Stars for children, WIRED for youth and Legacy for seniors. We also help support church planters throughout the United States, thousands of missionaries in approximately 200 countries.

Several of our members make trips to our mission church in Mexico to support them and strengthen their service. We participate with Franklin Graham’s  Operation Christmas Child. This ministry distributes gift-filled shoe boxes to children throughout the world, demonstrating that people matter to God.

Drop in on a Sunday morning just after nine o’clock for Coffee and Conversation. Then stay for Sunday Morning Worship at ten o’clock. Pick up some brochures and make a couple of new friends. You may discover A Place to Belong sooner than you think.

Sunday Sermon 1/8/2023

God, Our Stability

Isaiah 33:5-6

We all need and enjoy stability in our lives

No matter how hard we strive for stability, things don’t always pan out the way we plan

God’s message to us today is that He will be the stability we need through difficult times.

THE UNSTABLE CONDITIONS OF TODAY

We face many difficult things in life . . .

We just had our lives turned upside down by a pandemic

  • Natural disasters continue to cause damage

  • Inflation has affected us all

‌

  • Sickness, death, mental health problems. . . the list goes on and on forever . . .

All of these things can have a damaging effect on us…

  • For some, there is anxiety and fear. For others it could be depression or even some combination of both.

  • Sometimes we can get caught up in complaining

  • Sometimes we allow circumstances to steal our peace and our joy

Yet some are not disturbed by such things

THE STABILITY PROVIDED BY THE LORD

Comes through salvation, wisdom, knowledge

The key to stability is the “fear of the Lord”
