      Matthew 28:18-19  Working hard and trying to following all the rules cannot earn you salvation. In Matthew 5:3-10 and Luke 9:23 Jesus defines success   Choosing to lay down your life and follow Jesus that is success.

    We need to make God our pleasure.
    Moving From the Temple of Temporary Pleasure to The Temple of God
     
    Let God be your portion - Lamentations 3:24
    As your portion He is your provision and security - Psalm 16:5
    As your portion he is your strength - Psalm 73:26
    As your portion He is your refuge - Psalm 142:5
    Pleasure as your portion = disappointment & hurt & hopelessness
    God as your portion = never being disappointed & peace & hope
     
    Let God be your satisfaction - Jeremiah 31:25
    God will satisfy your needs - Isaiah 58:11
    God will satisfy your desires - Psalm 145:16
    Seeking pleasure = emptiness
    Seeking God = fullness Romans 5:5
    As your portion God will give you good gifts - James 1:17
    As your satisfaction God will satisfy you by His love - Psalm 90:14
    Gods desire is to bless you!
    The pleasure God wants you to experience is Him.
    Choose God and let Him be your pleasure.
