Loving Those You Pray For Remember: to recall to the mind by an act of memory Remembering is mice, praying for someone is better. We are commanded to pray for others. – 1 Timothy 2:1 (GWT) We are to intercede for others. Intercede: to act or interpose in behalf of someone in difficulty or in trouble Paul intercedes for the Philippian believers in Philippians 1:9-11 (NKJV) I Have You in My Prayers A Prayer for Maturity Love →Abounding → Knowledge and Discernment It involves both the heart and the mind A Prayer for Character Sincere: to be tested by sunlight Blameless: not to cause others to stumble or to give others an excuse to not believe God wants this character because it is the character of Jesus and allows us to experience the best of life Two Questions: Will it make others stumble? Will it make me ashamed if Jesus should return? A Prayer of Service Filled and Fruitful – John 15:4 (ESV) What is this fruit? Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV) – Fruit of the Spirit Luke 10:2 (NIV) – New Believers Colossians 1:10 (HCSB) – Good Works Hebrews 13:15 (ESV) – Praise The fruit does not make a great deal of noise producing fruit. It allows the life with in it to work. Galatians 2:20 (NIV) The result is that God is glorified. The work of God begins in your own personal life but it has to grow beyond you into the church. It is when we as God’s Family have each other in our Minds Hearts Prayers That produces joy and peace That all begins when we love each other enough to pray.
