Care Sacrificially
Care Sacrificially   James 1:27 (CEB) & 2:15-16 (CEV) – Jesus’ command to care Acts 2:42, 45 (CEB) – the church caring The early church met the needs of people. They didn’t focus on being right or following rituals.
This allowed them to care
Sacrificially They made a huge impact on the culture because they loved and it was seen in their actions. People will not care what we believe until they see how much we care. The Church Has Three Uncommon Things
We have an Uncommon
Foundation We belong to each other in Jesus.
  • Sharing in the body of Jesus – 1 Corinthians 10:16 (NKJV)
  • Sharing in the service of Jesus – 2 Corinthians 8:4 (NCV)
  • Sharing in the Spirit of Jesus – 2 Corinthians 13:14 (Phi)
  • Sharing in the gospel of Jesus – Philippians 1:5 (ESV)
  • Sharing in the suffering of Jesus – Philippians 3:10 (GNT)
  • Sharing in the life of Jesus – 1 John 1:3 (CEV)
We relate to each other through Jesus.– 1 John 1:7 (TCNT) Is CATB one in heart and mind with Jesus and each other? – Romans 15:5-6 (NIV)
We have an Uncommon
Social Concern
  • We are to value people over possessions.
  • We are to give our resources without a thought of return.
Is your conservative devotion and approach to the Word of God leading you to a liberal concern for the needs of people? – Acts 4:32 (NIV)
We have an Uncommon
Mission
  • We become united in worship
  • We multiply through a united witness
Our faith family has to be more than a once-a-week routine, it has to be a day-by-day reality. A Concern, A Confidence, and A Commitment
  • We have to be concerned about the hurts of people around us
The Progression: We see the hurt We feel the hurt We touch the hurt The Truth: Those who are most effective in reaching many are the most passionate about reaching the one.
  • We are to be confident in the name of the One who saved us.
We are to know His person. We are to trust His power. We are to show His presence.
  • We are to be committed to the glory of the God who works through us
When we are: The crowd will be attracted. The Word will be illustrated. The Lord Jesus will be exalted. Does Sierra county see the truth and love of Jesus in CATB? The Bottom Line: The glory of God is revealed in the sacrificial care of His people for each other and others who are not believers yet? What is foundation? – Isaiah 33:6 (CEV) What is your primary concern? – Matthew 6:33 (Mon) What is your mission? – Matthew 28:19 (ESV)

    Walking in worship
Walking in worship I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.                                                                                                             Romans 12:1-2
    1. The Soul must be given to God
2.The body must be given to God         3.The mind must be given to God        4.The will is given to God

    Worship Wholeheartedly

Worship was essential to the Old Testament believers – Exodus 20:4-6 (GWT) Worship will be a part of our lives in eternity – Revelation 4:8-11 (CEB) Worship brings great enjoyment to God. – Psalm 147:11 (CEV) What Worship Is Not: Just music – Psalm 95:6-7 (NLT) Just for our benefit – Psalm 99:5, 9 (ESV) Not a part of your life – Romans 12:1 (GNT) Not based on human rules – Matthew 15:9 (CEV) Worship Is: Loving
God supremely – Hosea 6:6 (LB)
    Trusting
God completely – Hebrews 11:7 (TM)
    Obeying
God wholeheartedly – James 2:24 (CEV)
    Praising and Thanking
God continually – Psalm 69:30-31 (NIV)
    Using
our abilities to honor God – 1 Corinthians 10:31 (Amp)
Three Essential Questions for Wholehearted Worship
Question #1: Do I value my spiritual
Appearance more than my spiritual Authenticity
    John 4:23-24 (CEV)
    Question #2: Do I have a genuine
    Fear
before God? – Proverbs 9:10 (Amp)
    Question #3: Is the
Person of God compelling me to accomplish the Mission
    of God?
The presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives is always accompanied by the reality of the Holy Spirit in our worship. Worship is only for God. – Matthew 4:10 (NLT) Real worship then leads us to be conformed to the will of God and the desire to obey Him. Are you worshiping God?
